Two Injured In Accident, 3 Killed
An accident that occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday has left three men dead and two other people injured after a 2005 Honda Accord crashed head-on into a Kenworth tractor truck.
The driver of the Honda was headed east on Mariposa Road just west of Austin Road near Danamark Walnut when the driver veered across the line and into the oncoming lane and ran straight into the tractor truck, said a spokesman from the Stockton Police Department.
The driver and two passengers of the Honda were immediately killed in the accident. The two occupants of the tractor truck sustained minor injuries and they were taken to Dameron Hospital.
The victims' identities weren't released Sunday.
It is still not clear if the victims were wearing seat belts or if alcohol or drugs played any part in the crash, police said.
