Officers Struck By Suspected Drunken Driver

Two Los Angeles police officers struck by a suspected drunken driver in San Pedro were being treated for injuries Sunday.

The accident at First Street and Pacific Avenue happened at about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, a Los Angeles police officer at Harbor Station said.

Both officers were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition.

The driver, whose name was withheld, was booked on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
