Hit-and-run Driver Still At Large

January 6, 2006

Concord police are still on the look out for the driver who may have been responsible for striking and killing a 31-year-old woman and injuring another man.

Susan Hyung was hit by a car around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Willow Pass Road and Mt. Diablo Rd. She was rushed to Mount Diablo Medical Center but died from the injuries sustained.

A man that was walking with her was also hit but he did not suffer serious injury. He was taken to the hospital, treated, and then released.

Police have asked residents to keep an eye out for a blue or black late-model, American-made sedan similar to a Mercury Cougar, a Chevrolet Impala, Cavalier or a Cadillac.

Police believe that the car will be showing visible damage to the windshield as well as the front end.
